These are the 5 habits that neuroscience recommends to include in daily life to be happy

Are Americans happy? There are people who are happy by nature, if this is not your case, there are daily routines that can increase the happiness quotient.

This report uses data from the Gallup World Poll, which asks respondents to rate their life from zero to 10, with zero being the worst possible life and 10 being the best possible life.

According to this report, some people are naturally happy: "Between 30% and 40% of the differences in happiness between people are due to genetic differences. Some people are born with genetic variants that make them feel happier, while others are less fortunate," the study explains.

However, according to neuroscientists from different universities, we can all implement in our routine some daily actions that can increase our happiness quotient.

Aristotle already considered that it was possible to achieve happiness by combining the external goods of body and soul.



For Cardiff University psychologist Cliff Arnall, happiness can be summed up in a formula that takes into account temperature, socialization, contact with nature and vacations, among other things.

But science has gone a step further, demonstrating that emotions have their origin in stimuli that provoke chemical reactions in our brain and therefore, can be managed despite external conditions.

These are the five actions we can implement in our routine to be happy.

Be thankful every day
There is scientific evidence to support the idea that being grateful makes us happier. You can make a list of things you are grateful for and review it every morning or say thank you spontaneously every day when you wake up. This increases dopamine and serotonin naturally.

Be kind every day
You don't need to do great deeds for others, but you do need to help make someone's day better, create little moments of joy for them. It can be a funny message or even telling your family members that you love them.

Enjoy nature
It's not about hugging the trees every day, but get out of the house and let the sunlight wash over you, the sounds, the smells and the environment because it's a way to reduce stress and lift your mood.



See the good in the bad
It's about taking the positive side out of what happens to you every day that you consider to be bad. Strive to change your perspective by finding the benefit within an everyday problem. This way you will avoid anger and toxicity.

Determine goals
Choosing a goal or objective has positive effects on the brain, decreases stress and anxiety and increases the ability to solve everyday problems.

Science has shown that the mere fact of choosing will make you enjoy more what you choose.
